Remix Contests

Our Remix Contests are where Change the Beat built its foundation. We partner with top-tier electronic music labels to create real release opportunities for women and gender-expansive artists, helping address the ongoing gender imbalance in dance music, where women still represent only a small percentage of artists signed to labels globally.

Participating labels include mau5trap, Drumcode, Anjunadeep, HE.SHE.THEY., Toolroom, Armada, Dirtybird, Insomniac, Realm Records, and many more.

Artists remixed through our programs include deadmau5, Ultra Naté, Crystal Waters, Eli & Fur, Nicole Moudaber, Nala, VNSSA, Azzecca, J. Worra, Essel, Maxinne, Giorgia Angiuli, Tini Gessler, and more.

Winning artists receive official releases on platforms like Beatport and Spotify, major prize packages from Native Instruments, and direct exposure to label A&Rs and industry teams.

Going Global: The Electronic Artist Method (Launching 2026)

GOING GLOBAL is built for artists who are ready to move beyond simply releasing music and begin developing the tools, mindset, and industry knowledge required to succeed on an international level.

Live Workshops

Our Live Workshops take place during the daytime and early evening in each city we activate in, leading directly into our live events and connecting education to the stage in a real-world environment.

Led by top-tier artists and industry professionals, workshops cover music production, DJing, branding, marketing, touring, and navigating the music business. Sessions also include demo feedback opportunities, artist development discussions, and panels featuring talent buyers, label representatives, managers, and other key industry figures.

These workshops are designed to provide emerging artists with practical education, mentorship, networking opportunities, and direct access to decision-makers shaping the electronic music industry.

The Demo Room (Launching 2026)

The Demo Room is a monthly initiative connecting the Change the Beat Discord community of women and gender-expansive producers directly with record labels actively seeking new talent.

Each month, one featured label is highlighted across our Discord community and social platforms. Label founders, A&Rs, and industry teams introduce their sound and what they are looking for through exclusive video content, followed by demo submission opportunities for our members.

The Demo Room creates direct pathways between emerging artists and labels that are committed to supporting women and gender-expansive talent, helping Change the Beat continue its mission of increasing representation across the global electronic music industry.
